JUSTICE TOday

Motto: Inmate Count in U.S. Dwarfs Other Nations’ – New York Times Inmate Count in U.S. Dwarfs Other Nations’ … It has 751 people in prison or jail for every 100,000 in population. … Follow The New York Times on … www.nytimes.com/2008/04/23/us/23prison.html

TOday, at the beginning of the third millennium the Justice are no more blind and does not have anymore a balance in her hand, but a laptop last generation… No doubt – she is today an equal business partner of the political and financial Powers.

The Presumption of Innocence…

…was implacably replaced by Franz Kafka’s sentence:

Guilt Is Always Beyond a Doubt,

from his genius work, “The Penal Colony”.

Justice with love and forgiveness – became some kind of dogma-gossip of the Christian and Buddhist religions.

In the daily life, for the individual people – today Justice is as simple as that:

vengeance.

Yet, Cain is today a modern, lucid man and uses his vengeance as a profitable Justice, making good money, sometimes very good money. And, no remorse. Any kind.

Why Jesus died on the Cross?!…

“… rain, rain – all the night…/

… the drops on the ill side-walk…/

… dark night – a wet dog …”

Leonard Oprea created the Breathing, an original type of essay in Romanian and world literature. The Breathing is a short, simple yet profound meditation on human condition, a meditation ended by a haiku. But – this haiku does not finish the meditation. In fact, it re-opens this reflection to new questions and responses on human destiny. There are 100 Breathings in Leonard Oprea’s work “Theophil Magus – Confessions 2004 – 2006″, ed. “Universal Dalsi”, 2007, Romania)
